Morné V's (a.k.a. Trypsinogen) passion for music started at the tender age of 10 when he got hold of a Carl Cox CD. He then sealed his fate at the age of 14 when he saw Nelson play at ESP. At the age of 15 Morné entered the Chasers under 18's Battle of the DJ's and after only having acquired turntables 4 days before the battle reached a 4th place over all. Morné perfected his technique over the years by playing various house parties and bars around JHB, Pretoria and Cape Town. After reaching a 2nd place in the Allenby campus DJ Battle 2003, Morné was scooped up by Technics DMC which gave him the platform to play in front of thousands of people at WOODSTOCK 5.

2004 saw Morné running his own club night at Time Out Café called CARBON, which was mainly aimed at the more unknown DJ's out there. After a few highly successful gigs at Trilogy, Boksburg, Morné went on to be crowned Allenby Campus DJ Battle champion 2004. Morné then co-organized BOOT CAMP at the Foundry Fly Lounge in Pretoria where he played along side Deepgroove, Dave Skinz, Andy K and Dizzy. In 2005 we saw Morné playing the outside courtyard floor at E.S.P alongside DJ's like Marco V (UK), Brain Cross (SPAIN), Steve Angelo (Sweden) & Dave Armstrong as well as local heroes Dizzy, Andy K, Lachlan Doolan, Dave Skinz & Stuart Hillary of Therapy/ G.A.S.S.

Morné then went on to play the launch of Moscow 282 in Jhb CBD alongside Miss Red and the Black Appeal launch at club Taboo alongside Dave Skinz & Liezl Steven-Jennings (Spunday – LA).

2006 - 2008 Saw Morné play alongside more of SA's big names at venues like Malabar, Submission, Reds Café, DCM, Club Miami & Back2Basix.

Having never really felt completely satisfied with the music he was playing, Morne set out to find the missing piece of the musical puzzle. In 2006 he went to his first psy-trance event and knew that he found what he has been looking for and on the 11th of November 2008 Trypsinogen was born when he played his first set at Psychedelic Circus held at Rockbar in Melville. 2009 saw Trypsinogen signed to his new crew The Imaginarium alongside his Sensei & Psychedelic Mentor, the late Ganji. After the passing of his Mentor, Trypsinogen was approached to sign to Teknotribe/Psytribe by Nick Grater to which he accepted.

Leaning towards the more energetic and darker sounds, Trypsinogen is sure to get you stomping furiously to his grinding basslines and mind altering rhythms… ARE YOU READY?

Trypsinogen has since played the following big events:

-Psychedelic Circus (Rockbar)
-The Calea Effect (Imaginarium)
-Grannies with Guns (Daniel & Tony's Birthday)
